The first step is to set up an account with the main domain name (website) associated with a brand.

Verification comes from being able to upload an empty file to a domain, proving that you have access to the server, or linking your account to a Twitter, Facebook or Myspace page if that is the main brand page.

Verification for premium accounts can be done manually with verifiedpages.com staff. This verification process confirms that brand pages are associated with the account on verifiedpages.com.

For brands without web pages, like some individuals, this manual verification is the best way to verify page ownership.
